Tammy Matte
MA, PLPC
Tammy is dedicated to enabling children to express themselves in ways that make sense to them while helping to prevent further damage as they grow into adulthood. Tammy believes that no matter what traumatic events they may have experienced, every child has an opportunity to grow into a whole and healthy adult. We all need help processing past events and emotions, and children need a specific type of help as they do not have all the benefits of time and experience to effectively express the pain, fear and confusion they have faced. Therapeutic playrooms are a designated space where children can learn to express and understand their feelings, resolve conflicts through reenactment and be nurtured into growth through the one-on-one attention of a warm and compassionate adult presence in the form of a trained therapist. Tammy’s first career was as an insurance agent. She then pursued her Master’s degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Tammy’s interest in healing from abuse and trauma creates a genuine compassion, interest, and dedication to therapeutic work.
“It can be a deeply frustrating challenge to understand what your child is trying to tell you when they express themselves so differently than adults.” –Tammy Matte, MA, PLPC
Camille Langlinais
MS, PLPC
Camille has enjoyed working with developmental disabilities and behavior modifications in children. Family relations is another important topic to her within her work as a counselor.
“I help my clients change thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to build a better experience and quality of life” –Camille Langlinais, MS, PLPC
Olivia Baker
MS, PLPC
Olivia works with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. She utilizes play therapy with children since this is a modality where they can build confidence in communicating through play, working through inner conflicts and emotions. Olivia believes play and other artistic forms of expression can be helpful ways to connect with and express ourselves, regardless of age. Taking ownership of your life, incorporating new skills, and making the changes can be intimidating. Change is hard, but the benefits are exponentially worth your efforts.
“My goal in therapy is for each client to feel safe, heard, and know that they have the power within themselves to live a more fulfilling, confident life.” –Olivia Baker, MS, PLPC
