Play Therapy

Toys are children’s words and play is their language. –Gary L. Landreth

Children express their innermost thoughts, feelings, and needs through the playing process. Using this information, We help children work through their inner conflicts with confidence.

Connecting With Children Through Play

In play therapy, non-directive and directive approaches are used depending on each person’s goals and needs. We can help manage ADHD, anger, behavioral concerns, oppositional defiance, anxiety, divorce, coping skills, depression, peer relationship concerns, low self-esteem, bullying, grief, and trauma.

Play helps children express themselves in new and different ways. Play is a very productive thing for the language of a child. Through play therapy, children learn to communicate feelings, emotions, and behaviors. This allows them to discover the skills needed to become successful in life!

We work with children, adolescents, and adults. Feedback from play therapy can be constructive in assisting parents and educators to meet a child’s needs best. We discover one’s inner strengths and empower them to use those strengths.

We work from a strength-based and relational approach, incorporating Mindfulness-based techniques, expressive arts, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
