Our Story

Connected Counseling has been a group practice since 2017. We support one another as we support our clients. We work as a team, sharing our knowledge and experience with one another to provide the most supportive and effective counseling experience we can to our clients who are striving for a better life experience.

Our Approach

We take a holistic and wellness-based approach to personal growth.  We know that resolving personal, family, and relationship issues free you up to live with more ease.  We offer you our training and expertise, to assist you in doing your own inner work which then manifests itself in outer life changes.

Our Team

We are a team of licensed mental health professionals serving not only the residents of South Louisiana in person but also offering phone or video counseling across the state.  We each have different backgrounds and expertise with a common interest in personal growth and inner peace.

Allison is passionate about helping individuals reconnect with joy, inner wisdom, and their capacity to create meaningful change in their lives. Her approach bridges traditional psychotherapy with integrative and energy-based healing modalities, offering clients a holistic path toward personal growth and emotional healing.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, Allison worked as a massage therapist, which deepened her understanding of the connection between the physical body and emotional, intuitive, and energetic experiences. Today, she blends this body-based awareness with her studies in Jungian psychology, meditation, holistic health, and energy therapies to support clients in navigating life’s challenges with greater clarity and self-trust.

In addition to her clinical work, Allison is currently pursuing a PhD in the Psychology of Applied Quantum Science. Her doctoral research focuses on quantum entanglement in human relationships, exploring the science behind human connection and consciousness.

Allison offers two paths of support:

  • As a licensed psychotherapist and holistic counselor, providing traditional counseling infused with mind-body awareness.

  • As a facilitator for those drawn to quantum principles and energetic practices, guiding clients in exploring non-physical aspects of personal growth, such as intuition, subtle energy, and consciousness expansion. In this space, she may incorporate energy work and biofield therapies for clients seeking alternative approaches to healing.

Whether you’re looking for grounded emotional support or deeper energetic exploration, Allison creates a safe, compassionate space where you can heal, grow, and connect more fully with your potential.

I teach people how to connect inward and move beyond thoughts, emotions, and events that happen in life. Moving beyond our conditioning allows us to experience freedom and peace, choosing what we really want in life. -Allison Saltzman MS, LPC

Rick Fridrick

Rick Fridrick

MSSW, LCSW, CFRC

Everyone is welcome in Rick’s office. Rick is trained in numerous evidenced-based practices which offer very fast and lasting relief from emotional pain. These methods process and resolve stuck unconscious material.

Rick is certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which is an evidenced-based practice using bilateral stimulation shown to give quick and positive results for trauma related suffering like anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Rick is the only mental health professional in Louisiana certified in Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT) Practitioner. AAIT is a protocol for psychological well-being. When we are mentally uncluttered, we experience more moments of mindful awareness…an inner knowing. Integrating emotional states that appear to oppose one another alleviates emotional suffering, and this is what AAIT does.

Rick is also trained in Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET). This type of therapy guides you in accessing both the root cause of your suffering, as well as activating your innate inner healing capabilities to resolve recurring or unprocessed emotions, beliefs, or sensations. Healing can occur in as little as one session.

Rick also uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Ericksonian Hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Technique. Rick’s office is truly a place of healing, where you are welcomed exactly as you are. Rick is a Certified First Responder Counselor with specialized training in working with paramedics, firefighters, and law endowment.

I am here to help you reveal and heal your true you while unlocking your true potential. –Rick Fridrick, LCSW

Heidi Olivier

Heidi Olivier

MSW, LCSW

Heidi works with children, adolescents, and adults, offering a compassionate, client-centered space for healing and personal growth.

With children, Heidi utilizes play therapy as well as sandtray therapy, two highly effective, developmentally appropriate approaches that help young clients explore and express their inner world without needing to rely solely on words. Heidi helps children process emotions, build confidence, and develop important life skills — while also supporting parents in better understanding and connecting with their child.

For teens and adults, Heidi integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) along with mindfulness, breathing techniques, and emotional regulation strategies. Her approach gently guides clients in understanding the deeper patterns influencing their thoughts and behaviors, empowering them to reconnect with their strengths and inner clarity.

For those ready to heal unresolved traumas, Heidi uses Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT). AAIT is an advanced method for resolving emotional distress and inner conflict by releasing internalized patterns.

Known for her calm and steady presence, Heidi helps clients of all ages feel safe and supported as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and growth.

The therapeutic process is meant to create a clearer sense of self, with clearer goals. Life is a complex journey, and the therapeutic process can be a powerful tool along the way. –Heidi Olivier, MSW, LCSW
